As Nigerian music, art, and fashion enchant global audiences, Nomie’s Kitchen is poised to become a world leader in providing affordable Nigerian culinary experience that both comforts the Diaspora longing for home and excites the palates of adventurous food enthusiasts.
Nomie is the heartfelt nickname of our founder, inspired by her Igbo name - Nneoma, which means "good mother." Growing up in a lively family with five siblings, they always hosted large community parties and this is how her love for cooking was born. Whilst studying Chemical engineering at the university of Manchester, her culinary passion truly flourished in the communal kitchen of the university’s residence halls. Nomie's Kitchen became a beloved gathering spot for Diaspora students craving a taste of home.
We started the business with one goal in mind: to share the variety of amazing Nigerian dishes with the world whilst providing an enjoyable dining experience. Thanks to our experience and dedication, we’ve managed to become masters of the craft. Providing dishes that are fresh, hearty and simply unforgettable.
